10. Sauna

The sauna is a traditional, so-called smoke sauna. The sauna stove has been made using stones of varying sizes that were selected carefully so that the steam didn’t make the eyes of bathers sting. The sauna benches were made very wide and high, thereby making more washing space also beneath the benches. The sauna benches were also used for childbirth and ailments were also cured using cupping methods.
